Orcas Establish Partnership with Parnell Broadcasting for the 2024-25 Athletic Season.
Parnell Broadcasting has become an important part of WCC Athletics this year. They communicate with the athletic teams to support our social media and streaming sites.
Earlier this year, Whatcom athletics had a breakthrough, we were able to provide the first play-by-play in the Pavilion on our live streaming platform (nwacsportsnetwork.com/Whatcom). During the fall season, we were able to produce podcasts for the first time, which highlight WCC student athletes, coaches, and administrative staff.
The content produced by Parnell Broadcasting has been highly valuable for WCC student athletes. Evan Solomon, an Orca men's basketball player, said, "This is exciting to Whatcom! It brings a new atmosphere to our games. Family and community are getting new perspectives from the players and the coaches."
Additionally, Parnell Broadcasting has provided post-game interviews, highlight film packages of teams, and broadcast production that helped to add in play-by-play for games.
