2026 Orca Pickleball Spring Classic Tournament

The Orca Pickleball Spring Classic Tournament will be held from Friday, June 12th, 2026 to Sunday, June 14th, 2026. The Whatcom Community College Pickleball Courts are next to the Student Recreation Center Pavilion. The tournament will be held at 237 W. Kellogg Road in Bellingham.

2026 Whatcom Athletic Awards Held in Gym for First Time.

The Whatcom Orcas opened their 2025-2026 Athletic Awards to the public for the first time. The event made the awards ceremony the largest in the school's history. The student-athletes enjoyed having so many supporters along for the event.

Orcas Defeat Clark College Penguins to Receive Quarterfinals Bid!

The Men's soccer team (North Region #2) defeated Clark College at Orca Field, 4-0 in its first round playoff game. The win gives them the opportunity to play the East Region #1 Spokane C.C. Sasquatch on Saturday, Nov. 8th in Spokane.

Whatcom Men's Soccer Plans For Home Playoff Game!

The Whatcom Men's Soccer team has nailed down a playoff spot in the 2025 NWAC Soccer Championships. The Orcas finished the regular season at 8-0-4 in league, 11-2-4 overall. Whatcom will host a playoff game at Orca Field.

LatinX Heritage Month Coach Spotlight

As we celebrate LatinX Heritage Month, it's important to highlight our soccer assistant coaches Manuel "Chucho" Mendez and Christian Caro. Student reporter Javier Moreno had the opportunity to catch up with each coach and learn how their Latin culture impacts them on and off the pitch.

Men's Soccer Battles Walla Walla but Falls

Orca Men's Soccer team held its final non-conference battle prior to its upcoming NWAC North Region teams. Whatcom welcomed Walla Walla Community College Warriors to Orca Field on Thursday afternoon (9/4/25). Whatcom fell behind 2-0 in the first half, and they were unable to find the net to receive a tie, losing 2-1.

Whatcom Soccer Teams Off to a Tremendous Start

The Whatcom Orcas have returned from the NWAC Soccer Friendlies in Salem, OR, with strong momentum. The Women’s team is undefeated at 3-0, including two wins at the Friendlies, while the Men’s team stands at 3-1 after closing out the second day of the event with back-to-back victories after a loss on the opening day to Columbia Basin College.
