Men's Soccer Battles Walla Walla but Falls
Orca Men's Soccer team held its final non-conference battle prior to its upcoming NWAC North Region teams. Whatcom welcomed Walla Walla Community College Warriors to Orca Field on Thursday afternoon (9/4/25). Whatcom fell behind 2-0 in the first half, and they were unable to find the net to receive a tie, losing 2-1.

The Whatcom Orcas fell behind in the first minute of the game, as #9 Alvaro Castellon from Walla Walla C.C. was able to get his first of the two winning goals he scored in the match.
Castellon help led the offensive march from Walla Walla. Walla Walla win brought their season record to 2-3-0.
Whatcom was able to only net one goal from #18 Samuel Simonin-Ducarre at the 64th minute (#30 Jordan Johnson received the assist.) The Orcas had numerous shot on goal opportunities leading the Warriors 8-2, but they could not end up making a mark in the contest.
The Orcas finish their preseason at 3-2-0. Whatcom will host the first NWAC North league contest at Orca Field on Wed., Sept. 10th vs. Shoreline C.C. Dolphins at 5:00 p.m.. The Orcas Women's team will follow that night at 7:15 p.m.
