Bio
Ken McLendon is an educator, coach, and program builder with a deep passion for developing young people both academically and athletically.
 
Ken is the owner of McLendon Athletics, a development-focused training program committed to helping athletes grow in skill, confidence, and character. Ken has worked with athletes from all across Whatcom County, helping them develop a genuine love for the game and supporting many in earning opportunities to compete at the collegiate level.
 
Ken previously served as the Head Girls Basketball Coach at Mount Baker High School and Bellingham High School. His coaching philosophy is centered around honesty, humility, loyalty, responsibility and commitment.
 
In addition to his work on the court, Ken currently serves as a Social Studies teacher at Lynden High School, where he brings energy, clarity, and real-world perspective into the classroom. Ken holds a Master’s in Education and a Bachelor’s in IT Management, blending realistic instructional practice with modern problem-solving and leadership skills.
 
Whether teaching, coaching, or mentoring, Ken McLendon is dedicated to helping young people unlock their potential and become the best versions of themselves.
